Shippers Grapple with Delays at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport

Air cargo shippers using Chicago O’Hare International Airport are experiencing delays because of major road construction around the hub and inconsistent service from third-party handlers. The West Coast situation isn’t helping.  Wait times for trucks loading those international goods at the airport can now take anywhere between two and four hours, sometimes as long as nine hours, according to the U.S. Airforwarders Association.
