EU’s Response to USA Steel and Aluminum Tariffs

The European Commission has created a plan in response to Trump’s intention to tax steel and aluminum imports into the United States of America.  European officials stated they will apply new tariffs on several U.S.-made goods if Trump follows through on his announcement last week.

Some of the items the EU intends to target include t-shirts, bourbon, motorcycles, bed linen, chewing tobacco, cranberries, orange juice, among many others.

There is a lot of talk about “trade wars” between The European Union and The United States. Whether or not it comes down to that, currently the threats are heavy on both sides.

Right now, we will just have to wait and see what happens and what details are agreed upon.
