Scarbrough Warehousing, Inc. offers drop shipping services to accommodate all methods of online ordering with numerous locations across the United States and expanding. Scarbrough’s fulfillment centers are located in Kansas City, Reno, Chicago, and Laredo, allowing for 2-day shipping to 98% of the U.S. mainland population.

What is Drop Shipping?

Drop shipping typically involves a retailer or middle man between the seller and the consumer. A retailer will buy wholesale from a seller and host the product on their online store. The 3PL will fulfill the order from its warehouse as if it is acting as the retailer’s warehouse or distribution center. The retailer pays for the shipping. In this case, the retailer acts as the buyer, then resells the product to the end consumer. This is different from a direct to consumer online order, where the order is placed directly on a seller’s online store. The seller in a direct-to-consumer model pays for the shipping to the consumer.
