Scarbrough
International, in an effort to provide the best global logistics
service to its customers, offers a consolidation service from Europe
and the Far East ports of Shanghai, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. This
service involves retrieving freight from local and inland origins
and moving them to a container freight station at the loading port.
We load the multiple LCL shipments into one container at the
loading port and move it directly to one of our Midwest customs
bonded container freight stations (KC, St. Louis, and Chicago). The
cargo is then unloaded from the container, palletized, and delivered
to the doorstep of our customers.
This
Scarbrough Group service is better alternative than standard LCL
service for many reasons. Because we move containers directly to
the Midwest, as opposed to stopping the cargo at the port of
discharge and consolidating onto a truck, we are able to offer
faster transit times (typically 7-10 days faster) and remove the
risk of pilferage. This results in a faster and safer transit.
Scarbrough International offers
flexibility in the consolidation program in order to make this
program work for you. We are able to utilize base loads for
20' FCL cargo and lighter 40' FCL cargo and are also
able to move cargo from other locations into our consolidations. If
you are interested in how our consolidation service can benefit you,
please contact Kyle Morris at 816-584-2460 or
