General This is a quotation and not a firm offer. Since a quotation is only an invitation to submit an offer or to place an order, no power of acceptance is created either by Scarbrough International, Ltd., Scarbrough Logistics, Ltd., Scarbrough International Express Lines, Ltd. d/b/a SIX Lines, Ltd., and Six Pack Express, Inc.. (all hereinafter referred to as “Scarbrough”); the recipient, or addressee. Rates are in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise specified. Rates are based upon information supplied by you and quotes supplied by carriers. Rates and quotations are subject to change without notice and we reserve the right to revise the prices contained herein for currency fluctuations or cost adjustments driven by the underlying carriers.
Rates Rates should always be re-quoted at the time of booking. Unless otherwise specified in writing, all rates will be subject to any General Rate Increase (GRI), Peak Season Surcharge (PSS), Bunker/Fuel Surcharge, Emergency Surcharge, War Risk Surcharge, Security Surcharge, etc., imposed by the underlying carriers. Fuel surcharges (BAF, EBAF) imposed by carriers included in the rates may fluctuate or vary at the time of shipment. Carrier(s) will be chosen from our portfolio of carriers that offer the best combination of transit time, local customer service, ideal cutoff, space availability, costs, etc. Carrier selection and transit time are subject to change without notice. Rates are exclusive of detention, demurrage, insurance, storage after free time, customs bond, customs clearance, duties, VAT, taxes, user fees, etc. Rates are exclusive of governmental charges; such as fumigation. Rates are valid for service level indicated and apply to general cargo; excluding dangerous goods, textiles, perishables, valuables, or oversized cargo. Rates apply only for cargo of legal weight and dimensions. Legal weights and dimensions can vary by country. Rates not specified on this quotation are as mutually agreed. Pricing is based on payment terms of net 15 days based on Scarbrough receiving payment via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). If EFT is not a viable option, payment terms are 10 days from invoice date. USA ocean inbound pricing is based on payment terms of 10 days from invoice date or receipt of the merchandise, whichever is earlier. Rates are subject to changing fuel surcharge dependent upon market conditions. Scarbrough reserves the right to institute a fuel surcharge on all shipments without prior notice. This surcharge applies to all domestic and international transportation charges, and will be applied for such periods as Scarbrough, in its sole discretion, may determine necessary. Scarbrough’s Terms and Conditions of Service and the terms and conditions of transportation documents issued in conjunction with the services provided pursuant to this agreement shall apply to such services. It is understood and agreed that the prices and rates set forth in this proposal presume and are premised upon the regulations, procedures and requirements as of the effective beginning date stated herein. Scarbrough shall be additionally compensated at a price or rate to be mutually agreed upon in the event of any changes in regulations procedures, or requirements beyond Scarbrough’s control during the term of this agreement, which either increases the cost to Scarbrough of providing the services set forth in this agreement or which require Scarbrough to provide additional services. Any Letter of Credit fees by the issuing/advising banks are not included in this quotation. The cost varies based on value, Letter of Credit, issuer and bank policy. The above quotation is based on prepaid charges unless otherwise stated. Quotation valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
Ocean Freight Rates are affected by terms of sale (i.e. FOB, FCA, FAS, CFR, CIF, CPT, CIP, DAF, DES, DEQ, DDU, and/or DDP). Rates quoted, unless otherwise stated, are valid only for in-gauge shipments. Ocean freight rates are subject to any increases and surcharges imposed by steamship lines in effect at the time of booking. Ocean freight rates are valid once filed with the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). Transit times, as provided by the carriers, are approximate and are subject to change without notice. Please be advised that transits provided are "optimal" transit times. Optimal transit times are based on the assumption that cargo will be delivered at least the day before cut-off at the port and the vessel sails on-time without any type of delay due to inclement weather, port/rail congestion (origin or destination), labor shortages, mechanical malfunction, etc. The specified transit times do not include time for customs clearance or other import clearance-related issues.
Drayage/Trucking/Delivery All rates involving drayage and/or trucking are subject to the current fuel surcharge. Pickups/deliveries will be made within normal business hours within city limits or zip code provided. Rates do not include special services, including after hours, weekend / holiday work, waiting time, inside delivery/pick-up, lift gate delivery / pick-up, hazardous material surcharges, security surcharges, etc. unless specifically stated to be inclusive. Pickups/deliveries rates are based on live loads/unloads. Free time varies by service, city and lane. If the expected time is greater than 30 minutes to load or unload, please notify Scarbrough in advance. Less than container load (LCL) delivery rates are based on the assumption the cargo weight is 333kgs or less per cubic meter (CBM) or approximately 21 pounds per cubic foot.
