Trading With Germany

Germany has the 3rd largest economy in the world so if you aren’t trading with the Deutsch you may be missing out! Germany is the world’s largest exporter according to the World Trade Organization. Mechanical engineering happens to be where Germany holds 20 percent of the worldwide market and their variety of exports consist of commodities like textiles, coal, electronics, chemical goods, vehicles, along with many others. They are also known for their cutting edge technology and innovations as well as the quality of their products; and they are a leading game player when it comes to overall exports/imports.

Based on research completed by the World Trade Organization, the list below shows the top 10 countries for German exports in 2005:

2	United States	$85.5 billion	8.8% of total Germany Exports
3	United Kingdom	$76.7 billion	7.9% of total German Exports
4	Italy	$67 billion	6.9% of total German Exports
5	Netherlands	$59.2 billion	6.1% of total German Exports
6	Belgium	$54.4 billion	5.6% of total German Exports
7	Austria	$52.4 billion	5.4% of total German Exports
8	Spain	$49.5 billion	5.1% of total German Exports
9	Switzerland	$36.9 billion	3.8% of total German Exports
10	China	$31.1 billion	3.2% of total German Exports

Two years ago, this country imported an estimated $774 billion worth of cargo. Many foreign companies are interested in staging their presence in this growing economy because of the estimated growth that will take place in the years to come. This list shows the top 10 countries for German Imports in 2005:

There are many of our clients who are currently reaping the benefits of international trade with Germany.
